Plug Me In
I was thinking a lot about kinaesthesia, parabolic sound, and death.
Apprehensive viewers are invited to recline in the chair under a bright light, in a set up that looks like they are about to have a procedure or possibly have their soul sucked away from them. But what they hear is a soft melody, a cut and looped section of Hoagie Carmichael’s original recording of “Stardust”.
When I am lying so near to my death that it could be any instant, will you hold my hand? What more could i ever ask for, but knowing that you know that this is the last and most precious moment, and you can do nothing but beg for another moment and remain quiet and dear. I know why people want to kill themselves. We take control of the often uncontrollable. Avoid the waiting.
We cannot relate to life except in terms of not living.
